In 2021, we created a simple budgeting application. The intent of this application is to help families or recent graduates in better understanding their finances. Last year (2022Q4), we upgraded it to include 43 Cost Categories. Please let us know if there is a category we missed & we will add it.
In the case of families, the intent would be for a husband/wife | mom/dad to spend a couple of hours on an annual basis sitting down at the kitchen table working through their financial profile for the next year.
In the case of recent graduates, the intent would be for an individual to sit down for a couple of hours shortly after entering the corporate world to understand how to make ends meet.
How it works:
1. CLICK on the dropdown menu, Choose a Cost Category.
2. ENTER the MONTHLY cost for the Category you chose.
3. CLICK "Add Amount".
4. You should see the expense on the next page with the amount entered.
5. Next CLICK, Main in the Menu Bar to return to the page and enter your next Cost Liability.
6. Repeat Steps 2 & 3 for all Cost Categories.
7. CLICK List to see the list of your monthly budget.
8. CLICK Total to see the total amount of your monthly budget.
9. CLICK Get Annual Amount to see the total annual budget.
10. ENTER a category we forgot to help us improve our site.
